Watt, Thomas unanimous selections to NFL 2010s All-Decade Team

Two Badgers legends in football have received a high honor from the NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Former Wisconsin Badgers greats J.J. Watt and Joe Thomas were named unanimous selections to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, the NFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame announced on Monday.

Eight unanimous selections were made in total.

From the NFL release:

The 55-member team is the result of votes cast over the last several weeks by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 48-member selection committee. Only players who received at least one selection to a Pro Bowl, Associated Press All-Pro team or Pro Football Writers of America all-conference team during the 2010-19 seasons were eligible.

Watt played in 112 games during the decade, racking up five All-Pro honors and recording 96 sacks.

Thomas played in 119 games, all starts, despite retiring after the 2017 season. Thomas made six All-Pro teams in his career, and five in the decade.
