Wisconsin falls in Big Ten Championship 34-21 to Ohio State

A great start by the Badgers was answered by an even more impressive finish by the Buckeyes.

After leading 21-7 at halftime, Wisconsin couldn't keep up with Ohio State in the second half as the Buckeyes ripped off 27 unanswered points to take home the Big Ten football championship on Saturday.

The Badgers got 148 yards on 20 carries from Jonathan Taylor, but just 13 yards on seven carries came in the second half.

Justin Fields threw three touchdowns for the Buckeyes, two to K.J. Hill, and J.K. Dobbins added a rushing touchdown to complete the comeback for Ohio State, who improved to 13-0 and almost assuredly a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Wisconsin is in consideration for a Rose Bowl berth, but its bowl destination is unclear in the immediate aftermath of the Big Ten Championship.
