Chris Orr named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

Wisconsin's Chris Orr is this week's Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, his first-ever such honor, after forcing a fumble and getting two sacks in Wisconsin's 24-15 win over Northwestern on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

The senior linebacker from De Soto, Texas had nine tackles (five solo), and helped lead a defense that allowed just 255 yards, recorded 14.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, forced three turnovers and scored two touchdowns.

The last Wisconsin Badger to win Player of the Week honors in the Big Ten was Leon Jacobs on November 13, 2017.

This Saturday, Wisconsin meets Kent State at Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.
