Drew Olson compares stalemate to a standard player contract negotiation

Czabe and Drew talked Thursday about the Max Scherzer comments saying that the owners proposal is dead on arrival given that the players have already agreed to a pay cut in March. Scherzer and some of the players would agree to play more games which could extend the season later in the calendar year. MLB could start their season in their home ball parks, but end up playing some of the playoffs and World Series in a warm neutral site, like the NBA is planning to do at Disney World. Drew compared the stalemate between the owners and players as an arbitration session that typically happens when a player is trying to get a new contract with his current team. Eventually they seem to settle at the midpoint and go on from there.
