After a close win earlier in the week over Xavier, the Golden Eagles kept up their clutch play in a Big East contest.
Markus Howard scored 31 points and Marquette pulled back in front of DePaul to hold on for a 76-72 win on Saturday at Fiserv Forum.
Koby McEwen added 13 points and Jayce Johnson had 11 for the Golden Eagles, who will get a full week off before playing Butler on Sunday, February 9.
With the win, Marquette improved to 16-6, 6-4 in the Big East, and into sole possession of fourth place.
