Markus Howard leads #20 Marquette to 103-85 win over #14 Buffalo

Markus Howard scored 40 second-half points as the Golden Eagles hung 64 second-half points total on the Buffalo Bulls in a 103-85 win in a showdown of top-20 teams. Howard finished with 45 points in the Marquette victory.

In addition to Howard filling the scoresheet, Sam and Joey Hauser combined for 29 points and 14 rebounds. Joseph Chartouny also scored in double figures, with 11.

Buffalo, coached by Watertown native Nate Oats, had three players in double figures. It was the first loss of the season for the Bulls, who are now 11-1.

Marquette improved to 10-2 with the win. The Golden Eagles will host Southern University in their final non-conference game on December 28 at Fiserv Forum before opening up Big East play against St. John's on New Year's Day.
