Watching the iHeart Radio Living Room Concert last night reminded me of one of Elton John's greatest and one of my all time favorite albums - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. I had it on Vinyl, 8 track, cassette, CD and mp3. Sure the hits are here, Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Bennie and the Jets, and the title cut, but it's the deep cuts that take this album over the top. Songs like "All the Young Girls Love Alice", "Grey Seal" and "The Ballad of Danny Bailey" are as good, if not better than the Top 40 cuts as far as I'm concerned. Now if we could somehow get rid of "Candle in the Wind" it would be a nearly a perfect album.
