On today’s show we talked to Omar Shaikh, president of SURG Restaurant Group, about their MPD Fallen Heroes fundraiser which benefits the three recently fallen Milwaukee Police Officers. The fundraiser will take place this Saturday, March 2nd from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at SURG on the Water located at 102 N. Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
Admission to the event is 20 dollars a person and includes two drink tickets, refreshments, and food stations from Carnevor, Calderone Club, Saz’s Catering, and Umami Moto. There will also be live and silent auction items available as well as special guest speakers including Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales.
All proceeds will provide support to the family of Matthew Rittner as well as travel expenses of for the officers and family Charles Irvine Jr. and Michael Michalski who are traveling to Washington D.C. to honor both of them as their names are added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall. Come out and help support the families of Milwaukee’s fallen officers.
