Tom Haudricourt discusses the Yasmani Grandal signing

Milwaukee shored up one of the weakest positions on the Brewers in 2018 by signing catcher Yasmani Grandal to a one-year, $18.25 million deal on Wednesday. Tom Haudricourt of JSOnline discusses the impact of the move and how it doesn't necessarily eliminate the Brewers from adding more players.

Grandal, whose offensive and defensive prowess put him in the top two or three of all catchers in baseball last year, should turn yet another spot in the lineup into a position of strength in the back half of the batting order. While Manny Pina and Erik Kratz had moments, neither could match the output of Grandal. In 2018 alone, Grandal tied for defensive runs saved at catcher and had triple the WAR of Pina and Kratz combined.
