Brewers shut out Cubs for second straight game, win 4-0 Sunday

Milwaukee took an important series in Chicago from the Cubs as the Brewers won 4-0 to move one game closer in the Wild Card standings.

Seven pitchers combined for the shutout, led by Gio Gonzalez, who tossed three scoreless, hitless frames to start the game.

Christian Yelich hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Brewers some insurance late in the game.

The Brewers are six games back in the NL Central and three games behind in the Wild Card.

Milwaukee will play Houston for a two-game series before getting the Cubs for four more games later this week.
