Freeman's three-run blast leads Braves to victory over Brewers

Freddie Freeman's three-run home run in the fourth inning broke open the scoring and lifted the Braves to a 4-2 win over the Brewers on Monday night in Milwaukee.

The home run came off of Adrian Houser, who pitched six innings, allowing eight hits and four runs.

Ryan Braun hit a solo home run for Milwaukee. Keston Hiura finished a home run shy of the cycle in the loss.

Game two of the three-game series is Tuesday evening in Milwaukee.

Earlier on Monday, the Brewers placed Corbin Burnes on the 10-day injured list and called up Burch Smith, who pitched one inning with three strikeouts in the ninth inning for Milwaukee.
