Brewers power past Marlins 5-1 on Thursday afternoon

Mike Moustakas hit two home runs and Christian Yelich hit his 23rd home run of the season as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Miami Marlins on Thursday afternoon at Miller Park, 5-1.

The three home runs between the players accounted for a third of the Brewers' nine hits in the victory.

Freddy Peralta allowed just four hits and one run in six innings pitched, with nine strikeouts. Josh Hader struck out three as he was on for the final four outs of the ballgame.

Milwaukee lost the series 2-1, and will welcome in the Pittsburgh Pirates for three games this weekend before embarking on an eight-game road trip.
