The Green Bay Packers have signed K Mason Crosby to a contract extension. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Monday.
Crosby, originally selected by the Packers in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft (No. 193 overall) out of the University of Colorado, is the all-time franchise leader in points (1,575), field goals (329), 50-yard field goals (35) and extra points (588). He has not missed a game in his career, playing in 208 straight contests in the regular season, the second-longest streak in franchise history (QB Brett Favre, 255). Crosby is one of four NFL players to appear in every regular-season game since 2007 (P Sam Koch, LS L.P. LaDouceur, QB Philip Rivers). Last season he connected on 22 of 24 field-goal attempts (91.67 pct.), tying Jan Stenerud’s single-season franchise record for FG percentage (22 of 24 in 1981). He also ranked No. 5 in the league in FG percentage, the highest ranking by a Green Bay kicker since Ryan Longwell in 2003 (No. 4). Also in 2019, Crosby matched his career high with 49 touchbacks and set a single-season career high for touchback percentage at 62.0 (49 of 79).
