Taylor Swift Unveils Prom-Worthy 'Lover (First Dance Remix)': Listen

Taylor Swift just debuted an even more romantic version of her hit song “Lover.”

On Monday night (November 25), Swift dropped yet another remix of her beautiful ballad, a captivating and charming rendition made perfect for prom. With “Lover (First Dance Remix),” the 29-year-old incorporates more orchestral arrangements similar to those she performed at the 2019 American Music Awards over the weekend.

This is the second time “Lover” has been reworked, as Swift previously dropped a remixed version of the record with Canadian crooner Shawn Mendes. In their team-up, Mendes leads with the lyrics: “We can light a bunch of candles and dance around the kitchen, baby/Pictures of when we were young hang on the wall/We’ll sit on the stoop/I’ll sing love songs to you when we’re eighty/ See I finally got you/ Now honey I won’t let you fall.”

Swift’s latest offering arrived just a day after she was honored with the Artist of the Decade award at the AMAs on Sunday night (November 24), where she performed a career-spanning medley of her greatest hits including “Love Story,” “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” and more. The songbird made history at the awards ceremony when she walked away with six awards, besting Michael Jackson’s record 24 wins with a total of 29 AMAs trophies throughout her career.

In related news, Taylor Swift is performing at this year's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City, alongside a star-studded lineup. Fans will be able to watch the show on December 13th via an exclusive livestream on The CW App and CWTV.com. The CW Network will also broadcast the event as a nationwide special on Thursday, December 19th at 8pm ET. Fans will also be able to listen to December 13th's festivities across the country on 100 iHeartRadio CHR stations.
