If you grew up in Milwaukee in the 70's and 80's, and even into the 90's, and you lived near the north side or anywhere near the north side suburbs, you probably remember going to Northridge Mall. Of course we know the story (as is the trend with many malls now) it fell off in terms of value and revenue and was eventually closed. There have been a few attempts to revive the space but so far nothing has come of it. I was always a south side kid, so I spent time at Southridge, but the entire saga of malls in America and their decline interests me.
Every now and then I watch these videos of these guys that just explore abandoned malls. It's just wild how many of these structures there are that now go unused. Anyway, I came across this one of our own Northridge mall. Wow, what a creepy and interesting look through this abandoned building that we all remember that was one time teeming with life.
