Creighton holds off Marquette 66-60 on Sunday

Markus Howard scored 33 points, most of the damage done in the first half, but Creighton was able to outlast Marquette 66-60 on Sunday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Creighton rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to win, led in scoring by Martin Krampelj with 19 points and Ty-Shon Alexander with 14.

With the loss, Marquette fell to 23-6 on the season, and now trails Villanova by a half game in the Big East standings.

Marquette plays at Seton Hall on Wednesday and wraps up the regular season on Saturday at Fiserv Forum against Georgetown.
